The Mountain/OMM Navigation Skills Day will develop all the necessary skills to get the edge on your competition for advanced tactical racing. Let your mates see your heels, rather than you see theirs!!

A professionally run course to gain extra skills to improve your mountain marathon running.
The course will entail roughly 1 hours of theory, based indoors where we can all discuss around a table with tea and coffee. After a break for more refreshments we will then head out on to the local fells for 5/6 hours with some practical learning and navigation training using real MM control kites using maps supplied by Mountain Run of either mock MM maps or real MM maps depending on the day.
We'll have plenty of fun, chats, learning new skills, mixed weather and great MM terrain.
Come prepared with an open mind, the correct clothing and equipment, lunch and snacks and plenty of smiles.

The course is based around the fells of the Glenridding/Patterdale Valley, this could be either side. Conditions dependant.

We are happy for you to bring extra Mountain Marathon Kit if you would like to discuss how to use it, best applications etc.
Please advise us of your experience, whether you understand anything, took a course in the past, we're an orienteer at school or are completely new to mountain marathon events.
