Let Mountain Run share their hard earned knowledge about navigation.
We have collectively spent years navigating in the mountains of the UK and further afield. Competed in many events, navigational and marked courses.
The experience we have, has been wrapped up into a single day course, concentrating on how to get started with this simple and easy to learn skill, with all content based around using a map, learning to introduce the compass and learning to use a map alongside a GPS Watch device so if you run off the trace for what ever reason, yo can find your way back on course.
Any aspiring Ultra or Trail Runner. If you have a desire to 'know' where you are in the mountains and would like to move away from just following a 'trace' on your watch, then this is the day course for you
During the session, Charlie will decode the map, help you stay on top of 'knowing' where you are at all times, get the map set so it makes sense and give tips, tricks and skills that will sink in easily and [assuming you practice] stay with you for a lifetime of running and walking.
If you are looking to up your skill level and even move to 'navigational' only races, you are looking in the right place. If your looking to stop making errors and running off course when racing, adding km's [how many??] to your races, this is the day for you!
