Entries for the 2022 Saunders Lakeland Mountain Marathon are now open. The event will take place on the weekend of 2/3rdJuly and will be centred on Eskdale, in the Western Lake District. Some courses are now over half full and prompt entry ensures the widest range of start times available.

Fell-running legend Joss Naylor is to make a guest appearance at Ambleside’s Festival of the Fells next month. The veteran record holder, shepherd and farmer, who recently ran across Cumbria from Caldbeck to Wasdale to mark his 80th birthday, will start the festival trail race on Sunday September 25.
