Let Charlie share his vast experience and knowledge with you about the Bob Graham Round.
Charlie is a font of knowledge when it comes to the BGR. Having completed it semi solo in 2006 with his dog scratch, he didn't think too much more about it until Damian Hall asked him in 2015 to navigate him the whole way, it was sort of a bet. Since doing his second BGR with Damian in 2016, Charlie has completed the Charlie Ramsay and Paddy Buckley Rounds as well.
Charlie has also supported many friends and acquaintances on successful and unsuccessful attempts, picking up much knowledge on why rounds can and do fail and what makes them successful. On top of this all, Charlie has successfully guided alongside his free-lance team, 15 clients on their Bob Graham Round.
Charlie has yet to complete a Winter BGR, but rest assured, this is on the cards!
Any aspiring Bob Graham runner or supporting crew. Whether you are dreaming of a round in the future, getting yourself ready for an attempt, have had an unsuccessful attempt, want to know how to support your runners in the best way or just want to know more about the round.
On the seminar, Charlie will impart first hand information and anecdotal stories to help you understand the fitness, training and mental agility and tenacity needed to complete a round successfully.
If you are looking to make your attempt as successful as possible, then a 2 hour session with Charlie will go along long way!
Chris McClymont: "Thank you so much for your Bob Graham Round seminar you hosted back in March 24. I found it extremely helpful for further recce's and on the day itself. Your knowledge of not only the route but also what it takes to have a successful Bob was brilliant.
I managed to complete the BGR on July 13th in 20 hours 4 minutes. I worked off a 22.5 hour schedule. Training went well the previous 6 months and I was fortunate to have favourable conditions for most of the round. I'm heading back to have a go at a winter round this December."
