Regular Winter Conditions Reports from the Helvellyn Massif and Glenridding Valley. Being completely local to the area allows us to head out and do quick on the spot conditions reports for the Helvellyn Area and surrounding valleys. These are not everyday, as we do have to work, but we try to keep them as regular as possible when there is snow on the ground!
It is with great pleasure that we announce one of the hottest properties on the international SkyRunning scene will be bringing his inov-8 running shoes to The English Lake District. In this sport of athletic super-humans, Eirik Haugsnes took the lead & won at the inaugural Tromsø SkyRace in a time of 6:38:30. An amazing feat of endurance over such a tough & technical course.
Es Tresidder has confirmed his intention to race at the inaugural True Mountain Lakes Sky Ultra™.

The ultimate mountain running event has been launched by Sky Running UK & Pura Power Events. Based in the English Lake District, from the outdoor Mecca of Ambleside, the Lakes Sky Ultra looks set to be a mega classic.
The Marmot Dark Mountains is one of the toughest mountain running events in the UK, if not Europe.... top teams pit themselves against the British elements & hills, overnight in the middle of winter.. Its not surprising that this event is small, its hardcore to the maximum
